Every morning I catch up on world events by viewing a few of the national news websites. Hurricane Dolly, Smugglers, Boy saves drowing girl, Girl gets mauled by a bear, etc. Most of the time the stuff that is making headlines is a joke and I guess we can be thankful that it is not worse. What I am tired of is the constant “Black” and “White” in the media today. Race continues to play a role in America and I can’t wait for the day that it will end. With that said, I don’t know if the media or the black and white racist figures in this world will ever let it end! Front page of www.cnn.com today talks about The Black Man….Being Black in America. This is a CNN project that is going to be aired over the next couple of weeks. Why can’t we just have a program called Being Americans? Well because of the divide that is still in this country, that is why. Until we can look at everyone around us and view each other as “Americans” this will never stop.
