It would be a damn shame if the majority owners of Packers Stadium go through with their threat of postponing the retirement of #4’s jersey! The staff that is currently in place, the coach and the president, basically forced him into making the decision that he did! If they would have given the guy some time he would stayed around another year, like he wants to, and probably helped the team advance to the playoffs, yet again. I know that there are people in the sports world who argue that it’s Aaron Rodgers time to shine! It’s more than likely his time to make incredible mistakes, and maybe in 3-5 years he will be shinning! He will not come out of the gate and have a 90% passer rating or throw 30+ touchdowns. He will probably throw a bunch of interceptions, have the faithful at Lambeau booing, and the upper management wishing they had kept Favre! Favre is the reason the Packers are who they are. If you think it’s time to move on, that’s fine! Release him and let him play somewhere else, he has earned that right as a player. He also deserves to have his number retired in a timely fashion! Remember Packers, he has made that team what it is……DON”T SCREW HIM!
