Viagra and GM

With all the recent talks about GM and the other big wigs needed to be bailed out, I found a interesting read. Viagra is covered for employees of GM, which cost the employer 17 million dollars a year! Each pill has a ticket price of $17.00, a deal if you need to get a hard on I reckon. This is even more reason as to why I am not in favor of a bail out. They have mismanaged their business, spent unnecessarily and because of that our tax dollars are supposed to help them out? NO WAY! My brother, whom I love dearly, argues that by bailing them out jobs will be kept, people won’t be laid off, etc. Well look at DHL, they just laid off 9,500 people and their is no rescue attempt being offered to them. DHL is a product of bad business, they over promised and under delivered! My company used DHL, and we constantly had issues with their “guaranteed” delivery times and pick ups. If a company is not following a strong business plan, makes shitty cars, and can’t stay afloat then they go under. It’s that simple. Bad business leads to a failed business. Look at Subaru and Volkswagen. They reported that they are a 106% of plan for this year, and saw size-able growth. More than likely they have a sound business plan and make reliable long lasting cars. Sure they may be more expensive to buy and upkeep, but don’t you get what you pay for? With that said, let me say it again! I AM NOT IN FAVOR OF A BAILOUT! Not just because their employees can get Viagra, but because it is spending that we as a country can not afford. Obama wanted to cut spending and now he HEAVILY favors this bail out, and an additional stimulus package for us tax payers. Not a very good start, however this will all get done before he officially is president, so liberals won’t blame him. Here is the real kicker. A GM employee was interviewed about using Viagra and told the reporter that he didn’t NEED Viagra, but that it was kinda like corking your bat. That is funny, but the rest of it isn’t!
