A friend of a friend was going to buy an octopus. the guy at the pet store said that he would need to have a lid that is secure in multiple places because octopi have excellent problem solving skills and can figure out how to get the lid off of many aquariums. (Here is some evidence of that). The pet store guy said that the octopus could get out of one tank crawl across the room into the guys second tank, eat all the fish and get back into his home tank in one night! (He also said they have been known to smother people in their sleep) AH that’s terrifying. so scary. and so bad ass at the same time.
I don’t know if i’ll ever understand my intense awe/terror of water creatures. Especially ones with good problem solving skills.
How insane. I’ve always loved the octopus but now I’m even more hyped on it.
